About Us

Letting Our Lives Do The Singing!

Since 2001, our award-winning chapter (NHAA President's Award Recipient: 2007-2008, 2010-2013) has been representing our “Home By The Sea” through community service, fundraising, and having fun and fellowship with our fellow Hamptonians throughout the metropolitan Washington, DC area (DMV). We help continuing students by awarding academic scholarships and additional support as needed. 


We welcome you to join our diverse membership that includes a variety of disciplines of study and graduates spanning from the Emeritus classes to those who have recently graduated (Congratulations Class of 2026!) . Our meetings take place September – May (corresponding to the HIU academic calendar) on the 4th Saturday of the month (excluding holidays).

The Montgomery and Howard County Alumni Chapters will be hosting a reception for the Hampton Class of 2030 on Sunday, August 2, 2-4p in Columbia, MD. Snacks, games, and Hampton Hugs will abound!

Chapter Dues: $40/schoolyear

Thank you for submitting your dues for the current academic year. Your contribution will go toward Chapter operating expenses, our region (Mid-Atlantic), and students on campus.
